Process Safety and Risk Management Program Development and Maintenance

R.A.Corbett Engineering provides engineering services for development of your Process Safety Management Program (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for ammonia refrigeration systems. Services are also available to conduct the required independent audits, such as mechanical integrity surveys, system relief valve surveys, and documentation upgrades to help you keep up with the management-of-change requirements of PSM and RMP programs. PSM and RMP development and program maintenance includes:

Coordination with your company to:

  • Develop employee participation requirements and procedures
  • Develop required system documentation (P&IDs and PFDs)
  • Assist with conducting the Process Hazards Analysis (PHA)
  • Establish requirements for Management of Change
  • Develop recurrent training requirements

System audits and inpections:

  • 5-year safety and program audit
  • Safety relief valve replacement (recertification) and records updates
  • NDE inspection of vessels and piping
  • Inpection of records and logs

System documentation upgrades:

  • Update and revision of process flow diagram
  • Update and revision of system P&IDs
  • Updating management of change records
  • Update and revise standard operating procedures
  • Update and revision of logs and record forms

A summary meeting with client to:

  • Fully discuss all of the updates and revisions
  • Review revised standard operating procedures
  • Review updated process flow diagrams and P&IDs
  • Review all updated forms and logs
